British flagIt has been just announced in UK Parliament by Philip Hammond, Secretary of State for Defence, that the UK is offering additional UK Typhoon aircraft to NATO Baltic Air Policing mission from late April.

If the offer is taken up, this would augment the Polish contribution to the mission.  The Secretary of State stated that he hoped that the UK offer would enable NATO to make a visible move to support and reassure our allies.
