Ryanair, the world’s favourite airline, today (21st Oct) confirmed that it carried 79% (!) more pax to/from Lithuania in the first 9 months of 2010 than same time last year. Ryanair’s 557.000 pax to/from Lithuania in the first 9 months of 2010 opted for Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares, best on-time performance and least lost bags, Ryanair reported.
Ryanair’s continued robust growth, at a time when European traffic is still stagnating underlines that passengers will no longer tolerate the high fares and fuel surcharges imposed by flag carrier airlines. Ryanair currently offers 19 low fare routes to/from Lithuania from Kaunas airport.
Ryanair’s Laszlo Tamas, said: “Despite the recession Ryanair’s traffic continues to grow month on month as financially savvy passengers opt for Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares and no fuel surcharge over financially flaky, high fares airlines (Air Baltic or SAS).
