Andrius Kubilius — Latvian referendum results, an excellent example of civic maturity and awareness

Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius, currently on his working visit to Japan, has expressed his support to Prime Minister of Latvia Valdis Dombrovskis and the people of Latvia, Press Service of the Government reports.
“Decisive rejection by the Latvian voters of the proposal to make Russian the [second] official language has shown great maturity and awareness of the civic society of this country. The Lithuanian Government and the people of Lithuania express their support to the unity of Latvia”, said Prime Minister Kubilius while commenting on last Saturday’s referendum results in Latvia.
