The Lithuania Tribune would like to wish its readers Merry Christmas and Happy New 2010.  The Lithuania Tribune is also sending its best regards to its colleagues from the LitNews and the Baltic Reports who also began this year.  Additionally, best regards go to Alfa.lt in English which reappeared after one-year’s absence.

Sadly, the Lithuanian public radio decided to scrap its news in English on its Internet site this year.  Furthermore, about a month ago the Radio Vilnius has also ceased its broadcasting in English.

On there hand, we often heard that this crisis is also good for something!  This year marked a renascence of the English news sources in Lithuania.  The Lithuania Tribune feels very privileged to be part of this process and wishes all above-mentioned projects to continue spreading news from Lithuania in English.

On its part, the Lithuania Tribune will continue to inform you on events in Lithuania in English, even though, should we say, in Lithuanian English.  At the same time the Lithuania Tribune would appreciate any comments and help in editing the texts, and contributing to the site with some help on the IT matter.  We are also inviting writers to contribute with their posts on anything what has to do with Lithuania; politics, sports, culture, history, observations from everyday life, etc.  Please, write us with your suggestions on editor@lithuaniatribune.com
