The opposition Social Democrats would have won elections in mid of August
According to opinion poll the opposition Social Democrat party would have won parliamentary election if the election had taken place in the middle of August. The opinion poll conducted by ‘Baltijos tyrimai’ on August 10-19 and 1009 respondents were questioned.
15 percent of all respondents would have voted for the Social Democrat party. The ruling Conservative party would have received 11 percent, one percent less than in June. The opposition Labour party would have got 10 percent, that is an increase by one percent since June. The other opposition party Order and Justice would have received 9 percent, and that is 2 percent less than in June.
Rest of the ruling coalition partners, the Liberal Movement, the Liberal and Central Party, and the National Resurrection Party would not have passed the 5 percent threshold necessary to get into the parliament.
