This weekend the Baltic Prime Minister will discuss a new nuclear plant project
On 17 August the Lithuanian Prime Minister Kubilius stated that Lithuania is firmly on course to construct a new nuclear power plant.
Bernardinai.lt quotes Kubilius saying that ‘The government has adopted all necessary laws which would allow us to proceed with building the power plant even if the Leo LT project will vanish. The international consultants are working on this. I hope that their will submit in a business plan soon in autumn. In regards to the Government’s political position and political will, you should not doubt that. One should not doubt the political will of the Baltic Countries’ either. In my opinion we will have a great opportunity to discuss this with the other Baltic Prime Ministers this weekend in Nida ( a Lithuanian Baltic Sea resort)’.
