Lithuanian PM hopes the problems of the Lithuanian carriers will be solved today
The chiefs of the Lithuanian and Russian customs will meet today in Moscow to held talks on the situation with the Lithuanian carriers who are blocked from entering Russia already for the second week.
The Prime Minister Kubilius, who is currently on vacation have stated this morning on the interview to Ziniu radijas that if the both agencies will fail to reach a rational agreement Lithuania will change its negotiations strategy and will ask the European Union to act.
‘I hope that the problems will be solved today, however if it will appear that the reasons behind unsolved problems are significantly deeper in this case, I think, we will really have to rethink our problem solving strategy and will have to start intensive talks with our partners in European Union. In my opinion it would more appropriate if the European Union directly would talk to Russia rather than Lithuania alone.’
