The price of Latvia’s national airBaltic airline’s shares will need to be determined according to the structure of the deal, says Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis, bnn-news.com reports.
Investors are planned to be motivated both in person and as a wide audience. This is why announcements were published in European and British editions of Financial Times, Prime Minister admitted in an interview to Labrīt, Latvija! (Good morning, Latvia!) program of Latvian Television. He added that it is necessary to find one strategic investor, such as a large airline, with a plan for airBaltic’s development.
If we find such an investor, we would perform an in-depth analysis that would allow us to set an appropriate price for the business deal. The price of shares should be set according to the structure of the business deal, said Dombrovskis.
Meanwhile, when asked about budget amendments, the head of the government noted that the coalition will support both positions and proposals for the opposition. «Even though it is impossible to support everyone, it will be offered to most. This accounts for many schools, social care centres, as well as definite municipalities and non-government organizations,»- says the Prime Minister.
BNN previously reported that the Saeima conceptually supported this year’s budget amendments during an emergency meeting on August 22. These amendments provide for priority measures to divide some additional 70 million LVL.
