On Thursday, 12th of July, it will be three years since the Lithuanian presidency post was entrusted to Dalia Grybauskaitė delfi.lt writes.
When asked how he evaluates the three-year collaboration with the President, Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius did not want to go into details but, said that there were debates about the financial crisis and economic decisions.
“I welcome and congratulate the President and the three-year presidency date. In fact, they were valuable years. They were uneasy. All together we had to survive the most serious global crisis and in this case our teamwork, even though sometimes with quarrels and disagreements, I believe has been valuable,” – said the Prime Minister.
When asked with what issues it was the hardest to find the agreement with the President, A. Kubilius said: “I haven’t calculated over which questions we have argued the most frequently, but I think over those who are most important. We have had discussions about the financial crisis and about a variety of economic issues. The debates are important, and the results that were achieved as well.”
DELFI reminds that the President D. Grybauskaitė was elected on May 17th in 2009, and was inaugurated on 12th of July.
