Ollie Rehn, Economy and Monetary Affairs Comissioner of European Commission (EC), named Latvia, Lithuania and Poland as potential candidates to join the eurozone, delfi.lt reported on 10 April referring to ITAR-TASS.

O. Rehn stressed that further Eurozone expansion must proceed with resoponsibily, and the effectiveness of this desicion must be very high.

Comissioner added that the resolution of EU financial crisis is being aggravated by the errors made in the beginning of the Eurozone formation.

„I won‘t specify the names. I value anyone‘s desicions, but, as it shows, joining of Greece in 2001 was a huge mistake,“ – says O. Rehn.
