Three small parties — Lithuanian Center Party, Lithuanian Social Democratic Union and Nationalist Union — are establishing the union “For Lithuania in Lithuania”. New formation proclaims that its goals are to stop Lithuania’s political, legal and social destruction and revive currently ignored national politicy, delfi.lt reported on 6 February.
This was announced on Monday at a press Conference in Seimas by the leader of Nationalists, Gintaras Songaila, the chairman of Social Democratic Union Arvydas Akstinavičius and Centre Party‘s chairman Eugenijus Skrupskelis.
According to them, the union „For Lithuania in Lithuania“ is „an organized attempt to open the gate to Seimas for those nation‘s and country‘s patriots, who think that Lithuania has deviated unacceptably from the direction projected by Sąjūdis, but not as far as to make it impossible to rectify the mistakes”.
“Let’s get ready to work together towards the goal that every person in Lithuania, family, nation’s welfare would be the cherished values; our Lithuanian language, culture and history would be the support for the future, and Lithuania would become a secure home to us and our children and stay our eternal Homeland!” — encourages written statement from the leaders of the three parties.
